- 6 oz bittersweet chocolate
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 5 egg yolks
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- 1 tsp espresso powder (optional)
Instructions
- Step 1: Heat cream and milk.
- Step 2: Whisk egg yolks, sugar, and salt.
- Step 3: Temper yolks with warm cream.
- Step 4: Cook mixture until thickened.
- Step 5: Stir in chocolate, vanilla, and espresso.
- Step 6: Chill in jars for 2+ hours.
Notes
Serve chilled with a dollop of whipped cream or a sprinkle of sea salt for extra decadence.
