Instructions
- Step 1: Combine Dry Ingredients – Whisk the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt together in a microwave-safe mug.
- Step 2: Add Wet Ingredients – Add the milk, oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients.
- Step 3: Mix Batter – Whisk with a fork or small whisk until the batter is smooth and no clumps remain.
- Step 4: Add Chocolate Chips – Gently stir in the chocolate chips.
- Step 5: Microwave – Place the mug in the center of the microwave. Cook on high power for 90 seconds or until the center is set.
- Step 6: Cool and Serve – Carefully remove the mug (it will be hot) and let it stand for 2 minutes. Top with whipped cream or powdered sugar if desired.
Notes
Microwave wattages vary; if yours is very high, check the cake at 60 seconds to prevent overcooking and dryness.
