Instructions
- Step 1: Prepare the dough – Combine warm milk, yeast, and a teaspoon of sugar. Let it sit until foamy. Mix in flour, remaining sugar, salt, egg, and melted butter until a dough forms.
- Step 2: Knead the dough – Knead the dough for 8 to 10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Let it rise in a greased bowl covered with a towel for 1 to 2 hours, or until doubled in size.
- Step 3: Prepare the cinnamon filling – Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, brush with butter, and sprinkle the filling evenly over the surface.
- Step 4: Shape and roll the loaf – Roll the dough tightly from the short end, pinch the seam to seal, and place seam-side down in a greased loaf pan. Let it rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
- Step 5: Bake – Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown. Internal temperature should reach 190°F. Cool completely before slicing.

Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature before mixing. Do not over-knead the dough. Let the loaf cool completely before slicing for clean swirls.
