Crispy Coconut Shrimp

Golden, crispy coconut shrimp made easily with simple ingredients. Perfectly crunchy and served best with a tropical dipping sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • ½ cup flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • Salt, pepper, paprika
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the shrimp – Pat shrimp dry and season with salt and pepper.

Step 2: Coat the shrimp – Dredge in flour, dip in egg, then coat in panko + coconut mix.

Step 3: Fry – Fry at 350°F for 2–3 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

Bake at 425°F for 12–15 minutes for a lighter version.
Use unsweetened coconut for less sweetness.
