- 1 large cucumber, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
- 2 liters filtered water
- 1 cup ice cubes
- Optional: 1/2 lemon, sliced
Instructions
- Step 1: Wash ingredients – Thoroughly wash the cucumber and the fresh mint leaves under cold water.
- Step 2: Slice cucumber – Slice the cucumber into thin rounds or long ribbons using a peeler.
- Step 3: Add cucumber to pitcher – Place the cucumber slices into a large glass pitcher.
- Step 4: Prepare mint – Gently clap the mint leaves between your palms to release the natural oils and add to the pitcher.
- Step 5: Add water – Pour 2 liters of filtered water over the cucumber and mint.
- Step 6: Add ice – Add ice cubes to keep the water chilled if serving immediately.
- Step 7: Steep – Allow the mixture to steep in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to let the flavors infuse.
- Step 8: Serve – Serve chilled and refill the pitcher with more water as needed throughout the day.
Notes
For the best flavor, let the water infuse overnight. You can reuse the ingredients for up to 24 hours before replacing them.
