Ingredients
Scale
- 1 bag (20-24 oz) frozen potstickers or gyoza (chicken, beef, or vegetable)
- 24 oz marinara sauce or a creamy white garlic sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 cup sliced green onions or fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Layer the base: Spread approximately one-half cup of your chosen sauce across the bottom of the dish.
- Add first dumpling layer: Arrange half of the frozen dumplings in a single, even layer over the sauce.
- Apply sauce and cheese: Top the dumplings with half of the remaining sauce and a third of the mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat the layering: Add the remaining frozen dumplings, followed by the rest of the sauce and the remaining cheese.
- Bake the casserole: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes to ensure dumplings are heated through.
- Brown the top: Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Rest and garnish: Let the lasagna sit for 5 minutes before topping with green onions and serving.
Notes
For a more Asian-inspired flavor, use a creamy alfredo sauce infused with a tablespoon of minced ginger and two cloves of garlic.
