Instructions

- Step 2: Mix Dough – Combine yeast mixture with remaining sugar, egg, salt, and butter in a large bowl.

- Step 4: First Rise – Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot for 90 minutes.
- Step 5: Shape Donuts – Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness and cut into 3-inch rounds using a circular cutter.
- Step 6: Second Rise – Arrange rounds on a parchment-lined tray and let rise for 45 minutes until doubled in size.
- Step 7: Fry Donuts – Heat oil to 350°F and fry dough for 90 seconds per side until golden brown.
- Step 8: Fill and Finish – Poke a hole in the side of cooled donuts, pipe in jelly, and toss in powdered sugar.
