- 2 fresh organic limes (washed and scrubbed)
- 4 cups cold filtered water
- 2 cups ice cubes
- 1 tablespoon honey or 2 drops liquid stevia (optional natural sweetener)
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Step 1: Prep Limes – Wash the limes thoroughly and cut each into four even quarters.
- Step 2: Combine Ingredients – Place the lime quarters and the 4 cups of cold water into a high-speed blender.
- Step 3: Pulse Mixture – Pulse the blender 5 to 10 times quickly to break down the lime without over-processing the bitter pith.
- Step 4: Strain Juice – Pour the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into a large pitcher to remove the peels and solids.
- Step 5: Sweeten – Add your preferred natural sweetener to the strained liquid and stir well until dissolved.
- Step 6: Chill – Add the ice cubes to the pitcher or directly into serving glasses.
- Step 7: Garnish and Serve – Add fresh mint leaves and serve immediately to enjoy the peak Vitamin C content.
Notes
Using the whole lime provides essential oils found in the peel. For the best taste and least bitterness, avoid over-blending and drink immediately.
