- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Step 1: Season Chicken – Pat the chicken dry and season both sides evenly with salt and black pepper.
- Step 2: Sear Chicken – Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear chicken for 6-7 minutes per side.
- Step 3: Rest Chicken – Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside on a plate to keep warm.
- Step 4: Sauté Garlic – Melt butter in the same skillet and sauté minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Step 5: Deglaze Pan – Pour in chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the pan to release flavorful browned bits.
- Step 6: Simmer Sauce – Stir in heavy cream, thyme, and Parmesan cheese, allowing the mixture to simmer for 3-5 minutes.
- Step 7: Combine Ingredients – Place the chicken back into the skillet and spoon the creamy sauce over each piece.
- Step 8: Garnish and Serve – Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve immediately while hot.
Notes
For a thicker sauce, allow it to simmer for an extra 2 minutes before adding the chicken back in.
