- 2 packets (0.5 oz) Unflavored Gelatin powder
- 2 cups Water, divided
- 2 scoops Collagen Peptides powder
- 1/4 cup Freshly squeezed Lemon juice
- 1 tsp Fresh Ginger, finely grated
- 1 tbsp Raw Honey (optional)
Instructions
- Step 1: Bloom Gelatin – Sprinkle the unflavored gelatin over 1/2 cup of cold water and let it sit for 5 minutes until thickened.
- Step 2: Boil Water – Bring the remaining 1.5 cups of water to a rolling boil in a small saucepan or kettle.
- Step 3: Dissolve Mixture – Pour the boiling water over the bloomed gelatin and stir continuously until the powder is fully dissolved.
- Step 4: Incorporate Flavors – Add the lemon juice, grated ginger, and honey to the liquid, stirring well to combine.
- Step 5: Boost Protein – Slowly whisk in the collagen peptides until the mixture is smooth and free of any lumps.
- Step 6: Chill and Set – Pour the mixture into a glass container or silicone molds and refrigerate for at least 2 to 4 hours until firm.
Notes
For a firmer texture, use slightly less water. This recipe is excellent for soothing the digestive tract.
