Ingredients
Scale
- 4 oz (120ml) white rum
- 2 oz (60ml) fresh lime juice
- 1 oz (30ml) simple syrup (or 1 tbsp granulated sugar)
- 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves, plus extra for garnish
- 3–4 cups ice cubes
- 2 oz (60ml) soda water (optional)
- Lime slices, for garnish
Instructions
- Step 1: Combine Ingredients – Add white rum, fresh lime juice, simple syrup, and mint leaves to a high-speed blender.
- Step 2: Add Ice – Fill the blender with 3-4 cups of ice cubes.
- Step 3: Blend Thoroughly – Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and has a consistent slushy texture. Ensure no large ice chunks remain.
- Step 4: Adjust & Taste – If the mixture is too thick, add a splash of soda water or a little more lime juice. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness to your preference.
- Step 5: Serve – Pour the frozen mojito into chilled glasses.
- Step 6: Garnish – Garnish each glass with a fresh lime slice and a sprig of mint before serving immediately.
Notes
For the most vibrant flavor, always use freshly squeezed lime juice and high-quality, fragrant mint leaves. The key to the perfect slushy texture is a powerful blender and blending until completely smooth, resisting the urge to stop too early.
