Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup Super-fine almond flour
- 1/4 cup Coconut flour
- 2 tablespoons Psyllium husk powder
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Sea salt
- 1 cup Warm water (approx. 110°F)
- 1 tablespoon Extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Melted grass-fed butter for brushing
Instructions
- Step 1: Mix Dry Ingredients – In a medium bowl, whisk together almond flour, coconut flour, psyllium husk, baking powder, and salt.
- Step 2: Incorporate Liquids – Add the warm water and olive oil to the dry mix, stirring until a dough forms.
- Step 3: Rest the Dough – Let the dough sit for 5-10 minutes to allow the psyllium husk to gel and create elasticity.
- Step 4: Divide Portions – Separate the dough into 4 equal-sized balls.
- Step 5: Roll Out – Place each ball between two sheets of parchment paper and roll into an oval 1/4 inch thick.
- Step 6: Heat Skillet – Preheat a non-stick skillet or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat.
- Step 7: Sear Naan – Cook each naan for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown spots appear and it puffs slightly.
- Step 8: Butter and Serve – Remove from heat, brush with melted butter, and serve immediately with curry or dips.
Notes
Ensure you use psyllium husk powder rather than whole flakes for the best texture. If the dough is too wet, add one extra teaspoon of coconut flour.
