Ingredients
Scale
- 2 tablespoons unflavored gelatin powder (preferably grass-fed)
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1 cup hot water (or warm tea/coffee)
- Optional: 1-2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup
- Optional: Juice of 1/2 fresh lemon
- Optional: Pinch of ground ginger
Instructions
- Step 1: Bloom Gelatin – In a mug or small bowl, combine the unflavored gelatin powder with the cold water. Let it sit for 5 minutes to ‘bloom’ or thicken.
- Step 2: Dissolve Gelatin – Add the hot water (or warm tea/coffee) to the bloomed gelatin. Stir continuously until the gelatin is completely dissolved, ensuring no clumps remain.
- Step 3: Add Flavor (Optional) – If desired, stir in honey or maple syrup for sweetness, fresh lemon juice for a tangy boost, or a pinch of ground ginger for added benefits and flavor.
- Step 4: Serve & Enjoy – Drink the gelatin beverage immediately. It’s recommended to consume it daily, either in the morning or as a post-workout recovery aid.
Notes
For best results, use high-quality, grass-fed, pasture-raised gelatin. Consistency is key, so try to incorporate this drink into your daily routine. You can also get creative by adding dissolved gelatin to smoothies, oatmeal, or homemade broths.
