Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat Oven – Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Step 2: Prepare Potatoes – Steam or boil the sweet potato until soft, then mash until completely smooth.
- Step 3: Combine Wet Ingredients – In a large bowl, whisk together the mashed sweet potato, nut butter, maple syrup, and vanilla.
- Step 4: Incorporate Dry Ingredients – Stir in the cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt until a thick batter forms.
- Step 5: Fold in Chocolate – Gently fold in the chocolate chips until they are evenly distributed through the mix.
- Step 6: Fill Pan – Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan using a spatula.
- Step 7: Bake Brownies – Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are firm and a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
- Step 8: Cool and Set – Let the brownies cool completely in the pan for at least 30 minutes to allow the fudgy texture to set.

For the best texture, ensure the sweet potato is mashed into a very fine puree without any lumps.
