- 1 envelope (7g) unflavored gelatin powder
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1 3/4 cups unsweetened fruit juice (apple or grape)
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
Instructions
- Step 1: Bloom Gelatin – Sprinkle the gelatin powder evenly over the cold water in a small bowl and let it sit for 5 minutes until thickened.
- Step 2: Heat Juice – Pour 1/2 cup of the fruit juice into a small saucepan and bring to a light simmer over medium heat.
- Step 3: Dissolve Mixture – Add the bloomed gelatin to the hot juice and whisk constantly until the powder is fully dissolved and the liquid is clear.
- Step 4: Combine Liquids – Remove from heat and stir in the remaining cold juice, honey, and lemon juice until well incorporated.
- Step 5: Set and Chill – Pour the mixture into a glass dish or individual ramekins and refrigerate for 4 hours or until firm.
Notes
Avoid using fresh pineapple, kiwi, or papaya, as their enzymes will prevent the gelatin from setting properly.
