Instructions

  1. Step 1: Prepare Base Batter – Cream butter and sugar, then mix in eggs, milk, flour, baking powder, and vanilla until smooth.
  2. Step 2: Color Small Batch – Divide one-third of the batter into small bowls and tint each with different gel food colors.
  3. Step 3: Bake Cake Balls – Fill a sphere-shaped silicone mold with the colored batter and bake at 350°F for 12-15 minutes.
  4. Step 4: Cool Dots – Remove the colored cake balls from the mold and allow them to cool completely on a wire rack.
  5. Step 5: Layer Base – Pour a 1-inch layer of the remaining plain vanilla batter into the bottom of a greased cake pan.
  6. Step 6: Position Dots – Place the pre-baked colored cake balls onto the batter layer, spacing them evenly apart.
  7. Step 7: Submerge Dots – Gently pour the rest of the plain vanilla batter over the balls until they are fully covered.
