Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup grass-fed gelatin powder
- 2 cups pomegranate juice (unsweetened)
- 1 cup concord grape juice (unsweetened)
- 1/4 cup filtered water (or more, to achieve desired consistency)
- Optional: 1-2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (for sweetness, use sparingly)
Instructions
- Step 1: Bloom Gelatin – Sprinkle gelatin powder evenly over 1/4 cup of cold filtered water in a bowl. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until it forms a jelly-like consistency.
- Step 2: Heat Juices – Gently warm the pomegranate and concord grape juices in a saucepan over low heat. Do not boil.
- Step 3: Dissolve Gelatin – Add the bloomed gelatin mixture to the warm juices. Stir continuously until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
- Step 4: Sweeten (Optional) – If desired, stir in honey or maple syrup until dissolved.
- Step 5: Adjust Consistency – If the mixture is too thick, add a little more filtered water, a tablespoon at a time, until your preferred consistency is reached.
- Step 6: Pour and Chill – Pour the mixture into individual ramekins or a single serving dish.
- Step 7: Set – Refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours, or until firm.
Notes
Use high-quality, grass-fed gelatin for optimal benefits. Opt for unsweetened juices to minimize sugar intake.
